Worth trying first
- A note is sitting under “Not filed yet”
- That means the recording was made without a connection, so there is nothing to file yet. Open the timeline, and the card has a Review button — it transcribes then and there. The audio is kept until it can.
- Reminders never arrive
- Two switches have to agree. In Kept: Settings → Reminders. In your phone’s own settings: notifications allowed for Kept. Turning the first one on does not currently ask for the second, so it is worth checking both.
- Something was filed to the wrong person
- Nothing is filed until you confirm it. On the review screen, tap change person under the name to move the note before saving. If it is already saved, open that person and delete the entry — there is an undo for a few seconds after.
- The same person is in there twice
- Kept cannot merge two people yet. The place to catch it is the review screen, where change person files the note to the one who already exists. Write to us if you have a duplicate you cannot untangle.
What we can see from here
Almost nothing, on purpose. Your people, notes and recordings live on your phone — Kept has no account and no copy of your journal, so we cannot look up what went wrong or read a note back to you. The more you can describe about what you were doing, the further we can get. What leaves your phone has the detail.
